“RICE PADDY ART” Rice Planting Event

“Rice paddy art” is an art form of pictures drawn with rice of various types and colors in a paddy field. We are going to draw world-famous Japanese animation characters by applying advanced surveying technique, which is one of Japanese Agricultural techniques.

The rice planting event will take place as an official side event for the TICAD VI (the 6th Tokyo International Conference on African Development).

We hope you will participate in this event as representatives of African countries.

10:00 – 12:00, Sunday 22nd May 2016 (Rain or shine)

Place

West Exit, Oyama Station [MAP], Oyama City, Tochigi Prefecture at 9:00 (We will take you to the venue)

ABE Participants – Free | Other participants – ¥1,000 *Free lunch is included

Clothes

Clothes that can get dirty (T-shirt, short pants, cap, towel, sandals)

*You must enter the rice field barefoot.

*Transportation is at your own expense.
